A sliding scale fee system is a payment structure that adjusts the cost of services based on a client’s ability to pay. This model takes into account factors like income level, household size, and personal circumstances, allowing clients to access services without financial strain. 

Sliding scale massage therapy services are intended to ensure healing and personal wellbeing are available to everyone—not only the wealthy. Offering a sliding scale is especially important for marginalized communities, in particular BIPOC & TLGBTQ communities who have historically been excluded from or adversely affected by the healthcare system.
